Shailesh Shah, MD
Board Certified Pediatric Anesthesiologist
Board certified in Pediatric Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology , Dr. Shailesh Shah comes from Valley Children’s Healthcare, Madera where he was on staff as a pediatric anesthesiologist since January 2011. His areas of special interest include anesthesia for pediatric outpatient surgeries and anesthesia for special needs patients.
Prior to joining VCH, Shailesh Shah served as an assistant professor and later as an associate professor in pediatric anesthesiology at Arkansas Children’s Hospital since 2004.
Dr. Shah completed his internship in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his anesthesiology residency at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, AR.
Dr. Shah is a member of several professional organizations, including, Operation Smile, Rotaplast International and Resurge International. An avid volunteer, Dr. Shah has participated in a number of medical missions that provide free reconstructive surgery for children with congenital deformities and adult burn patients.
During his free time, he enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with his lovely wife and two boys.
